Paper Holly Wreath
I love wreaths, fake ones, real ones, we hang them all over the house - inside and outside - when the holiday season comes along. I especially love an easy and beautiful wreath you can make yourself or with your kids (especially because they can be so expensive to buy).
That’s why the kids and I put together this simple paper holly wreath you can make and display together at home.
Ingredients:
green paper (I like to use two different shades)
red paper or red pom poms
scissors
cardboard wreath form or cardboard cut out
glue dots or glue stick
red ribbon
Instructions:
Start by printing out the holly template. Cut out with scissors and trace the leaves onto the green paper and cut those out (how many you need will depend on the size of your wreath). If you are using red paper, cut small circles out of this for the berries. If you prefer to use pom poms like I did, skip the red paper all together.
Take the leaves and fold them in half slightly. You want to give them some depth, but not completely press on the crease of the fold.
Start gluing the leaves onto the wreath form. If you do not have a wreath form, you can take a piece of cardboard and cut it into a ring (so it looks like a donut).
After the leaves are attached, add the red “berries” or circles to the points of the leaves here and there. Every single wreath does not need to have berries, but I like to add an odd amount here and there.
Tie a red ribbon into a bow and glue onto the wreath. Take another piece of ribbon and wrap it around the wreath to hang.
