My Favorite Stocking Stuffers
I’ll admit it, stocking stuffers are hard! Trying to find the right size, right price, and stuff that is not just plain old junk is difficult. My mom is great at finding stocking stuffers so often I turn to her in a pinch, but I do love a challenge.
To help all of you I have put together my go-to list this year for great stocking stuffers. I promise a few of these on Christmas morning will put a smile on your little one’s faces, but also make you feel good.
This year, adorable, usable masks are a great stocking stuffer. I love these masks because they are adjustable, come in fun colors and designs, and they’re light weight.
Any Art Supplies, but Especially These…
Both of my kids love these, but not as much as me because it helps facilitate a tripod grasp when writing and coloring, plus they are super creative with them.
We used to get these at a restaurant we went to and that’s when I started keeping a set at home to play with. Sparks a lot of imaginations, which I love!
Not only are these mess-free, they also have the best colors, are easy to hold, and my kids will play with these for hours.
Sensory Play Ideas…
I was introduced to this by our occupational therapist. Again, both of my kids love this because you get to find little, fun items inside each one, but I love it because it helps with fine motor skills including pincher grip. We have all of the themes and they are all so much fun.
Stretchy, wiggly, and just plain fun, this is a new one for us this year but sure to please.
This is also new to us this year, but we have had variations. Perfect and sturdy for any kind of sensory play you can think of. We will use these for rice, noodles, Kinetic sand, slime, putty, and more!
Throw, squish, stick, this little ball does it all. Plus, it’s easy to clean off when it’s filled with lint and all sorts of other things.
Science Fun…
A science experiment in a small bottle.
These are also new to us this year, but I can’t wait to send these little guys flying with both kids.
Color these small, soft animals, then wash them off. I’m not sure why, but my daughter will spend hours with these. There are a few different sizes and types of these, but my daughter loves them so much that I went with the larger version, however, there is a smaller one for only $7.99 here.
Educational
Work together to roll the dice and create a story based on what the dice say. Cooperative and creative, win win.
Most likely your kids use these in school already, so why not have them at home too? They can play with them, but also learn the new way of math (why did they change math again?).
Teachers math, but is also a good game where we all have a bit of fun.
Useful Too…
I’m always on the hunt for a good water bottle that doesn’t break the bank or leak! Well I found one that isn’t the most expensive, but it is basically indestructible and doesn’t leak. The Thermoflask!
Just for Fun!
Doll Accessories (any kind she or he likes)
They are small, usually inexpensive, and kids love dressing up their Barbies or larger sized dolls.
LEGO Minifigs (again go with the them your kiddos like)
We go for the blind bags a lot here. This year we are super into the Mario LEGO Minifigs but there are so many themes you can find something for every child.
Matchbox Cars
Classic and inexpensive, these are always a winner with my kids.
Little Dinosaurs
My kids cannot get enough of dinosaurs and they integrate them into LEGO play, sensory play, and more.
I add a joke to my son’s lunchbox everyday so this is a two-for-one gift for me and for him.
