Thankful Box

Thankful Box The Crafty Mommy

This way of showing our thanks could not be easier. I purchased this thankful box from Michael’s and had my kids decorate it. It comes with pumpkins with different sentence starts: I’m thankful for, I am grateful I am able to, I am blessed because, I love my family because, and I help others when I.

All your kids have to do is fill out one of the pumpkins everyday and add them to the box. I suggest on Thanksgiving Day you go through and read the pumpkins out loud to remember all the ways we are thankful.

If you want to get a bit more creative, have your kids make their own box! They can use an empty tissue box, shoe box, or any cardboard box you have laying around the house. They can decorate it with markers, stickers, paper, glitter, paint, whatever they want. Then either take pieces of paper and write the sentence starters on them to fill out or cut out pumpkins, turkeys, feathers, pilgrim hats, corn, whatever reminds you of Thanksgiving and get started.
