Recycled Power Cuffs
Included in my superhero activity kit are these power cuffs, perfect for any superhero kid. I love them because anyone can make them and they only take a few ingredients including two toilet paper tubes or a paper towel tube cut into smaller sizes.
Ingredients:
2 empty toilet paper tubes or one paper towel tube cut into thirds
glue
paper (any kind really works)
scissors
markers or other decorations like stickers (optional)
tape
Instructions:
Take the toilet paper tubes and cut them down the center lengthwise so you can slip them on your wrists.
Cover them with paper and glue to adhere. I always prefer using hot glue because it holds the best, but if you use regular glue, make sure to hold it in place for at least 30 seconds.
Using your markers, scissors, etc. create decorations to adorn your super power cuffs. I like to use circles or a shield shape for the back and then add a lightning bolt, burst, or your child’s initial to mine. Glue on and hold in place until secure.
Let them dry, then put them on your wrists. Secure with tape if need be.
