Father’s Day Wrapping Paper
If you follow me on Instagram or here on the blog, you know I love wrapping gifts or small trinkets up in a special way. I think that’s part of the gift and should be equally thought out.
So for Father’s Day I decided to put together three ideas that you can easily craft with the kids to wrap whatever it is you’re gifting to the dads in your life.
Shirt Wrapping Paper
Ingredients:
white paper
tape
scissors
paint
foam paint brush or straight edge
buttons
hot glue
Instructions:
Start by wrapping your present with the white paper. Then take more white paper and cut a long strip. Measure it around the top of your box and cut it in half so you have two strips that fit around the box itself. Then cut two diagonals to make the collar on the front. Glue down.
Take another strip of white paper and glue down the middle front of the box. Now you have a plain, white shirt.
To dress it up, take some paint and the foam brush or a straight edge and make stripes or a plaid pattern. You can also use dot markers or regular markers to make a polka dots or other designs.
Finish by gluing buttons down the front of the shirt after the paint has dried.
Measuring Up Wrapping Paper
Ingredients:
white paper
tape
measuring tape clip art
scissors
yellow paper
black marker
hot glue
Instructions:
Start by wrapping your present in the white paper.
Next, print and cut out a tape measure from the Internet. Glue down to the white paper.
Take your yellow paper and cut it into one inch strips. Using your black marker, make measuring marks on both sides, this does not need to be precise.
Match one end of the yellow strip from step 3 to the end of the tape measure and glue down. Twist it and turn it and glue down again until you’re happy with the result.
Bottoms Up Wrapping Paper
Ingredients:
white paper
tape
beer mug clip art
scissors
hot glue
white pom poms in various sizes
Instructions:
Start by wrapping your gift in the white paper.
Print and cut out beer mug clip art from the Internet or draw them onto the white paper. Glue them down on the white paper if you printed and cut them.
Using the white pom poms and your hot glue, make foam above the beer mugs.
