Easter Basket Fillers

I shared my go-to baskets with you here, but as for what to put in the baskets themselves, I usually try to stay away from too much candy. All of the kids in my life seem to get enough sweet treats!

I find that the smallest ones in my life are the hardest to buy for, but definitely a fun challenge.

For Babies

Clothes or cute accessories - think PJs, hair bows, bow ties, spring and summer outfits. The parents will love this!

Toys! Like these Boon Building Bath Pipes, teethers like this adorable carrot, and blocks like these Mini Tudou blocks. All adorable and fun for little ones.

Books, especially about Easter are super fun for babies! Some of our favorites are Spot’s Easter Basket, Duck and Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny, and Don’t Push the Button, an Easter Surprise.

For Toddlers

This all depends on the age of your toddler, but I love to get little snacks like puffs or yogurt bites with a fun snack holder to go with it.

Blocks like Magna Tiles or these awesome stacking stones.

Water bottles are a huge hit! I love these water bottles from Camelback. Useful and fun!

Clothes or cute accessories are a big hit with the toddler crowd too!

Toys! I especially love getting bubbles and sidewalk chalk since the weather is getting warmer. Or anything sports-related like this T-ball set or

I love these Nesting Easter Bunnies.

I also love books for this age too (really all ages), especially I Spy With My Little Eye Easter Book, My Easter Sticker Book, and There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick.

I also love activity books and games for my toddler. She loves these scissor skill books, as well as anything Water Wow, and these Highlight pre-K books.

But this year we’re working on sight words and so I got her this game called Swat a Sight Word from Learning Resources.

I know, I know, I said no sweet treats, but these marshmallow chicks are too cute to pass up!

For the Bigger Kids

My son is starting baseball this spring so we got him his baseball gear from the Easter Bunny! Double win because we needed it but it’s also a gift!

For some other fun stuff, we usually do card or dice games. We love Roll a Story or Tenzi.

I also love getting them something to wear, like a t-shirt or swim trunks for summer. Old Navy and Target always have some fun tees that are inexpensive.

Seed Cannons or anything they can Grow! I especially love these from Terrain.

Fun for both big kids and toddlers is learning games and workbooks. For my son, we love these Top Secret Adventures activity books and Which Way USA books from Highlights that teach him about different parts of the world through engaging activities.

And do you remember Brain Quest cards? I picked some of those up too. Anything that gets my kids’ minds working but is fun… I’m totally game!

My son is also into coding and video games so I love finding books like Code Your Own Games!

He’s also very into Mario so we decided to get him this power-up, that I don’t quite understand, but he will love!

And finally, anything that gets them outside! I like sidewalk chalk for them, stomp rockets, new baseball, football, or basketball, they also still love bubbles or kites.

Unsure of what to get, gift cards never disappoint! Think Target, Barnes and Nobles or a local book shop, CAMP if you have one near you, or Michael’s for craft supplies! Or you can always get them a gift card or craft kit from The Crafty Mommy!
