Leprechaun Hat DIY
We’re getting into St. Patrick’s Day this year because… well, we don’t have a lot of other things going on because of COVID.
So we decided to make these adorable Leprechaun hats together as an afternoon project.
All you need is some paper, glue, scissors, and these instructions!
Ingredients:
green, black, and gold paper
glue dots
scissors
Instructions:
Using the green paper, cut out a square and a strip of paper. The strip should measure about twice as long as the square and be about 3 inches wide.
Take the black paper and cut out one strip the length of the square you cut out in step 1. You will also want to cut out at least two more strips that when joined together will fit around your child’s head.
Take the strips of black paper and join two (or more together) so it fits around your child’s head. You can adjoin them with glue dots or a stapler or tape - whatever you have on hand.
Take the gold paper and cut out a buckle. You can do this by cutting a large square out and then cutting another smaller square inside of it.
Fold the green strip in half and attach it using a glue dot to the green square. Then take the remaining black strip and glue it to the front of the hat just above the green strip.
Attach the buckle on top of the black strip. Take the entire hat you just created and attach it to the strip that will fit around your child’s head.
