Personalized Father’s Day Gifts

Out of This World Father's Day Card The Crafty Mommy

You’re Out of This World

We made these a couple of years ago and they could not be easier or more out of this world!

Ingredients:

  • black paper

  • white chalk

  • star stickers

  • white paint (optional)

  • spray bottle (optional)

Instructions:

  1. If you want to create a true galaxy, mix one part white paint and one part water in a spray bottle. Lay out the black paper on a surface you don’t mind getting dirty (like outside in the grass) and spray. Let dry.

  2. If you’re not doing a galaxy, start by writing Dad, Grandpa, or whatever you called the special guy in your life in chalk on the black paper. If you did the galaxy version, wait until the paint is dry then do step 2.

  3. Add star stickers to the points of your words to create constellations.

  4. Extra bonus for printing a special message to go with it and gluing it on.

I love these art prints that spell out dad or grandpa from Shutterfly. Personalize it with your own photos and you have a sentimental and special gift for the guy in your life.

Heart Photo Collage The Crafty Mommy

I Love You Photos

Years ago I put together this photo collage from our son’s first year and made it into a heart for my husband. It still hangs in a special place in our home.

Little Helper Father's Day Card The Crafty Mommy

From Your Little Helper

This tool belt card only requires a few simple materials and is super fun to make. Bonus for making the tools into coupons dad or grandpa can cash in for a big steak dinner, extra hugs, or free time for himself.

Ingredients:

  • brown kraft paper

  • black marker

  • grey paper

  • brown paper

  • light brown paper

  • scissors

  • glue or glue stick

Instructions:

  1. Start but cutting out the tool shapes. I created a hammer, wrench, ruler, and saw. To make them more realistic, I cut pieces out of different colored paper (brown for the handles for instance) and glued them together. Let dry

  2. Take your marker and draw details and coupon items onto the tools.

  3. Next take a 15x8 inch piece of brown kraft paper and fold it into threes like an accordion.

  4. Cut out one long strip that measures 17x2 inches and round the corners with your scissors at each end. Glue this to the top of the large piece in step 3. Fold with the other folds so that they match up.

  5. Take another piece of brown kraft paper and cut a 3x2 inch piece. Glue this down on both sides but leave enough space for the hammer to sit in.

  6. Take the brown kraft paper one last time and cut two 4x5 inch pieces. Again, glue these down, but just on the two sides and bottom so you can fit your “tools” inside them.

  7. Finally, take your black marker and draw stitches and details on the pockets, belt, and write a nice message.

Finger Painting for Dad The Crafty Mommy

Finger Painting for Dad

If you have a really little one in your house, this is a great way to get them involved.

Ingredients:

  • fingerpaint paper (it is glossy and therefore, easier to paint on but also easier to peel the tape from later)

  • painter’s tape or washi tape

  • finger paints

Instructions:

  1. Take your paper and tape and tape off the word DAD in the center. Tip: Try to make the corners as neat and square as possible, use scissors if need be. It will create a cleaner design.

  2. Using finger paint, let your child go wild all around the paper. Let dry completely.

  3. Once dry, remove the tape gently. Frame or give as is.
